Inside the RV

Make sure the items inside are secure to prevent falling and breaking.

Make sure the vents are closed.

Make sure the windows are closed and locked.

Make sure any loose cabinet doors are secure.

Outside the RV

Check tires for dry rot, tearing or bulges. When a tire blows it can produce damage to fender or other damage to trailer. When in doubt get new tires.

Check bearings. (Make sure they have recently been greased)

Check lights.

Check awning. (Make sure the awning is secure to prevent it from falling off during travel)

Look for a loose siding.

Look for any rips in outer layer of RV (You do not want strong wind coming through and ripping apart siding or outer layer)

Check hitch section to make sure no cracks in welding or large amounts of rust.

Check the roof - look for loose AC covers or loose vents. Also check for tears in out layer of roof.

Have a mechanic look at everything first if you are unsure.
